The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Fellowship to Dr. Faiz Muhaffel
 

 

One of the lecturers of our faculty, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Dr. Faiz Muhaffel will carry out joint research studies within 12 months at "The University of Manchester/England" within the scope of the 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program. Two Experts on ARACIS Board
 

 

Two of our faculty members of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Gültekin GÖLLER and Prof. Dr. Özgül KELEŞ have been accepted as an “International Expert” in the Romanian Higher Education Council (ARACIS) Quality and Assurance Board - Doctoral Programs Accreditation Group. Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Güneş from Department of Food Engineering takes part as the principle investigator in the project entitled “PLASMAPACK: Double¬sided bio-treatment of polymeric foil for food packaging using coupled DBD¬Corona non¬thermal plasma” was accepted to be supported by EU from MANUNET 2020 program.

 
 
ITU-SME-RWTH Aachen Cooperation
 

 

Prof. Dr. Sebahattin GÜRMEN from Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering takes part as the principle investigator in the project entitled “Sustainable Recovery of Rare Earth Elements (Nd, Dy,Pr) from spent NdFeB magnets (REC-MAG)” was supported by Support Program for Increasing the Capacity to Benefit from International Research Funds and Participation in International R&D Collaborations (CORNET/29th Call).


 
 
 
Invention of Our Food Engineering Department Faculty Members Obtained Patent
 

 

The invention “Cold Active and Simultaneous Multiple Enzyme Production Method”, whose inventors include ITU Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical, Department of Food Engineering faculty members Prof. Dr. Beraat Özçelik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Karbancıoğlu Güler and Ph.D. graduate of Food Engineering Program Dr. Ceren Daşkaya Dikmen, were granted a Patent with Examination by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
