International Support to TECH-TOYS Project
 

 
The project titled "TECH-TOYS: Acquire digiTal biomarkErs in InfanCy witH sensorized TOYS for early detection and monitoring of neurodevelopmental disorders", submitted to the call under the Turkey coordinatorship Prof. Dr. Hatice Köse (Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering), is granted support.
 
 
 
Invention of Our Faculty Members Obtained Patent
 

 
The invention “System and Method of Translation from Turkish to Turkish Sign Language and Visualization through Animation”, whose inventors include our faculty members Prof. Dr. Hatice Köse and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülşen Eryiğit, was granted a Patent with Examination by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
 
 
CHIST-ERA Project Application Accepted
 

 
The project titled "Sustainable Watershed Management Throught IoT-Driven Artificial Intelligence", which was funded by EU Horizon 2020 Future Emerging Technologies and presented to CHIST-ERA was entitled to be supported. The project has been prepared with the partnership of research institutions in Turkey, Austria, Switzerland and Finland. The Turkey coordinator of the project is Dr. Mehmet Tahir Sandıkkaya from Computer Engineering Department.
 
 
 
ARDEB-1001 Earthquake Research Special Call
 

 
Prof. Dr. Burak Berk Üstündağ's research project titled "Development of a Seismic Risk Monitoring Method with Terrestrial Stress-Strain Measurements and Data Fusion Based on Deep Learning" was entitled to be supported within the scope of TUBITAK ARDEB-1001 Earthquake Research Special Call.
 
 
PRACE-Funded University-Industry Collaboration Has Been Successfully Completed
 

 
The project supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Tosun was successfully completed, and the final deep learning based model has been internally in use by the project’s industrial partner, Mobildev. The project was funded under the PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) program supported by EU-HORIZON 2020, and supported by ITU UHEM resources.
 
 
 
COMP21-Digital Solutions for Smart Cities | ATHENS Programme
 

 
Prof. Dr. Sema F. Oktuğ and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yaslan have offered the COMP21-Digital Solutions for Smart Cities course at ITU between 15-19 November 2021 within the scope of the ATHENS program.
