The first paper from Turkey in the Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics, the most reputable journal in the field of Fluid Mechanics, was published in its 2022 issue by our Astronautical Engineering Department faculty member Prof.Dr. N.L. Okşan ÇETİNER YILDIRIM. 

 
 
 
10th International Symposium on Atmospheric Sciences at ITU
 

 
The 10th International Symposium on Atmospheric Sciences 2022 (ATMOS ’22), which is organized by ITU Department of Meteorological Engineering and the only event in its field in our country, was held at the TAV Conference Room in ITU Ayazağa Campus on 18-21 October.
 
 
11th International Nano-Satellite Symposium at ITU
 

 
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) hosted the 11th Nano-Satellite Symposium, an important event in the field of small satellites, in its 250th anniversary. The symposium held on 17-19 October at Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center, in cooperation with the University Space Engineering Consortium Global (UNISEC Global), with the support of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), was attended by scientists and representatives from 20 countries from 5 continents, with strong contributions of Japan, Türkiye, Europe and other nations.
 
 
 
SharjahSAT1 CubeSat developed by ITU-SSDTL of FAA within the scope of a ITUNOVA TTO project with the Sharjah University of United Arab Emirates (UAE)
 

 
The 3U CubeSat Sharjahsat1, developed by ITU Space Systems Design and Test Laboratory (ITU-SSDTL) jointly with Sharjah University of UAE completed and sent for integration on Falcon 9 Transporter 6 mission to be launched on 3 January 2023. 
 
 
Earth Observation CubeSat Project Contracted
 

 
A 16U, 1.5 m GSD @ 500km Earth Observation CubeSatand Space Capacity Development Project contract has been signed with Air University of Pakistan as an ITUNOVA TTO Project. The project, carried out by ITU-SSDTL led by Prof.Dr. Alim Rustem Aslan, is currently in early CDR phase and planned to be launched during first half of 2024. 

 
 
 
A delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman visited our University
 

 
A delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman visited our University on December 21st, 2022. The potential collaboration topics have been discussed within the high delegation meeting in between ITU and UPM.  All members of UPM delegation had a visit to ITU Aeronautics Institute and ITU Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics (FAA).
