ITU Alumni Information Day
 

 
"ITU Alumni Information Day" was held on February 23, 2022, to introduce the EELISA project to our graduates, who are among the most significant members of the ITU family. Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata, Vice Rector for International Affairs, began the event with an opening speech, followed by brief regarding general information about the EELISA project, provided by the project manager, Assoc. Prof. Emrah Acar. An introduction of the InnoCORE project was made by the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Hür Bersam Sidal Bolat. The contributions of the EELISA and InnoCORE projects to our alumni and ways on how they could be a part of the process were explained.
 
 
 
Summer Course at ITU
 

 
Istanbul Technical University has been a role model and a Pioneer in implementing United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals among universities in Turkey, with the English for Academic Purposes Through Global Goals course. Individual assignments and group projects enable students to internalize in 21st-century skills, such as collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication through experience. The English for Academic Purposes Through Global Goals course, offered by the School for Foreign Languages of ITU, is a guide to undergraduate students, who are striving to become global citizens passing beyond geographical and political borders.
 
 
EELISA InnoCORE Team at TORCH Forum 2022
 

 
EELISA InnoCORE team participated in TORCH Annual Forum by CHARM European University Alliance where they explained our methodology and shared preliminary results of the alliance work on identifying research strongholds.
 
 
 
ITU Students are in Strasbourg!
 

 
The European Student Assembly gathered student representatives from European University Alliances in Strasbourg to discuss the most decisive challenges Europe is facing. Eight students representing EELISA attended the conference, of which four were from ITU.
 
 
ITU Academic Open Archives Policy Approved
 

 
The «Open ITU Academic Archives Policy» was prepared by the Library and Documentation Department under the context of improving open science implementations within our institution, which was reviewed and approved at the University Senate’s 9 December 2021. Experiences of an EELISA Student from ITU

A reflection for March 8th, International Women’s Day
 

 
With the aim to contribute to the reflection and analysis that a day like today entails, EELISA Communication Team has interviewed Prof. Dr. Maria Rentetzi, chair for ‘Science, Technology and Gender Studies’ at FAU since January 2021. She is a physicist and a historian of science and technology, and her research focus is a highly interdisciplinary field at the intersection of science and technology studies, history of science, diplomatic history, political sciences, and international affairs.
